Lord of all creation, YOU are a Holy God. Thank You for creating me and for loving me. You say that all have sinned and fallen short of your glory, including me. Yes, I have sinned against you!  I have broken your commandments. I have not loved You with my whole heart, mind, soul and life. I have not loved my neighbor as myself. I have ignored you and doubted that you exist. I have not obeyed your Word, the Bible. I have hurt others and I have held grudges against those who have hurt me. I have (insert your specific sins here).

I do not want to rebel against you any more!

You say that you love me so much that you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins.

You tell us that he came as a baby born of  your holy, incorruptible seed planted within a virgin.

You tell us that Jesus came into the world only to grow up and die on that cross for each of us.

For me, for my wickedness.

You say that none of us can live with you in heaven without entering through the Door of your Son, Jesus.

I believe you, Father.

I believe Jesus died to pay for my sins, that he was buried, and that he rose again from the dead on the third day.

I believe he went into hell and came back with the keys so I wouldn't go there.

I believe He paid for all my sins with his own holy blood and that His blood can wash me whiter than snow.

I believe that the wages of sin is death, but my salvation is a free gift through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

I ask you to forgive me for all the sins I know about, and for all the sins I don't know about, and to create a clean heart in me. I turn away from evil, and surrender my heart and life to you. I receive you now, Jesus. 

Be my Savior and my Lord. I will read your Word and obey it. I am yours.

In the name of Jesus, Son of God, I pray,
